25 June, Sunday

Sitting in Downtown Prague listening to a Czech Dixieland band. It's pretty entertaining. I wish I had the camcorder. Bought on of their tapes for the pontoon this summer.

Brian, Matt, Rob and I stayed a second night. We met 2 Australian girls, Nina and Buffy. Went out for drinks Saturday night. Sunday just walked around the city. Had a great dinner but got screwed on the bill. Total: $68 on my VISA (for 4 of us). Oh well, I know better for next time.

Prague was a great city. Things were pretty inexpensive. At the train station we drank for about 40 cents a pint. It was a clean city but still has some catching up to do. There are some really nice more touristy bars/restaurants if you're willing to pay American prices, but even these aren't too unreasonable.

Took a night train out of Prague with the two Australian girls. Took a 10 hour trip and decided on the train to go to Koblenz for a riverboat tour of the Rhine River (where we are now). It cost nothing (besides our Eurail passes) to ride the boat which is huge & very nice. The scenery is beautiful and there is not a cloud in the sky. Perfect day for this. Also, they translate in 3 languages (one being English) all the sites. We may just sit here the entire 7 hours the trip lasts (it makes various stops along the way). Tonight we go to meet Matt's cousin in Marburg, then tomorrow meet the other guys in Zurich.
